Residency in Teaching Videos
This is a 10 minute segment of a lesson I taught within a unit about volcanoes. This lesson focuses on viscosity and leads up to a lab investigating viscosity as it relates to volcanic activity. This video was submitted as a requirement for edTPA (educational teacher performance assessment.)
This is the second video clip required for edTPA. This 10 minute segment reflects a lesson in which students participate in a volcano monitoring simulation titled Thunder Island. Students use inquiry and problem solving skills to attempt to communicate with other teams and keep the residents of a small island safe from a volcanic eruption.
Residency in Teaching Photos
Teaching in a 7th grade integrated science classroom during my residency gave me the opportunity to implement a variety of experiences for the students to explore the curriculum. I taught everything from chemistry and physics to volcanoes and earthquakes.

This is a video clip of a lesson I taught to a 10th grade biology class. The lesson focuses on Symbiotic Relationships, and fits into a unit on Ecology. I taught this during a junior practicum experience in Spring of 2015.
Symbiosis lesson Plan with Reflection and Assessment
This is the first video-taped lesson I ever taught, in my first classroom practicum experience with Bryan Honken at Dean Morgan Junior High in the fall of 2014. The lesson focuses on cells, and was taught to an 8th-grade Life Science class. I spent a total of 70 hours with this group of students before teaching this lesson.

Casper Mountain Science School: 8th Grade week, 2015
In May, 2015 I spent a week at Casper Mountain Science School as a teacher for a group of 8th graders. I worked with CMSS interns as we led the 8th graders in team building, and three science investigations including a water investigation, a plant investigation, and an animal investigation.
