Me
I am Lauren Huntington: passionate educator, science lover, and outdoor enthusiast. I currently teach 7th Grade life science, 8th Grade physical science, and High School biology at Glenrock Junior/Senior High School in Glenrock, Wyoming. I am in my 6th year of teaching. It is my true passion and calling. I am completed my masters degree in science education from Montana State University in the summer of 2021. I try to approach life with a sense of humor, a glass-half-full attitude, and an open mind. I was raised with a love and appreciation for nature and the outdoors. It was spending time outside that sparked my curiosity for the workings of our intricate world. This has led me to develop a love for science and has allowed me to further explore and understand it. I hope to instill these same values and interests in my own child, and it is my goal to give my students these opportunities as well. I strive to be creative in work and in life. My passion for learning and the outdoors allows me to find inspiration in my surroundings. I love learning new things, trying new things, and living life to the fullest.
Background
Originally from northern Montana, I moved to Casper, Wyoming at the ripe age of 5. I grew up in Casper and am absolutely in love with Wyoming (Montana is a close second). Although I’ve lived other places, I’ve always called Wyoming home.
Family
I have a 9-year-old daughter that keeps me on my toes. I also have two dogs, a cat and a bunny that I absolutely adore. I am close to my brother and sister and I spend a lot of time with my parents. We love to camp, hike, and snowboard as a family. My brother and I also enjoy mountain biking.
