Me
I am Lauren Huntington: a passionate educator, science nerd, and outdoor enthusiast. I try to approach life with a sense of humor, a glass-half-full attitude, and an open mind. I was raised with a love and appreciation for nature and the outdoors. It was spending time outside that sparked my curiosity for the workings of our intricate world. This has led me to develop a love for science and has allowed me to further explore and understand it. I hope to instill these same values and interests in my own child, and it is my goal to give my students these opportunities as well. I strive to be creative in work and in life. My passions for life, learning and the outdoors allow me to find inspiration in my surroundings. I love learning new things, trying new things, and living life to the fullest.
Background
Originally from northern Montana, I moved to Casper, Wyoming at the ripe age of 5. I grew up in Casper and am absolutely in love with Wyoming (Montana is a close second). Although I’ve lived in other places, I’ve always called Wyoming home. I have been teaching junior high and high school science in the small community of Glenrock, about 35 miles from my home in Casper, for the last 3 years. I have found my true calling as a science educator and absolutely love my job.
Family
I have a 6-year-old daughter that keeps me on my toes. I also have three dogs and a cat.
